A hawk - a scarlet one - flew against the sky. The moon was so full - so huge. Stars were coming out in the sky that was darkening as the sun slid down the sky. There were highlands everywhere, the grass was green and soft. The world was alive with the sounds of night insects. Once Vectis had gotten back to the battle, he watched as Key was thrusted to the ground and his brother sunk his sharp fangs into her leg, nearly snapping it until he himself took a stand. "Hey! That's enough!" Vectis growled "This is my fight!" He was cold and he was wet but he was still strong and still ready to stand up for his friend. Vectis limped off, in his case, he started sprinting. Again, blood roared through his ears, half deaf. "Stupid girl." Snickered the shadow fox. "Don't you know how thin that ice is? Vectis was there. At the peak of the mountain. Face to face with the shadow fox. Key was behind the evil fox, bleeding. The entire battle field where they had fought - including a frozen lake - reached almost as far as they could see. In time, Vectis had caught up with the shadow fox, he ran a yard or two away from him, yet the evil fox kept running. Vectis tried to leap on him, but missed and tumbled off into the snow. He looked up, and watched at the fox continued to run. As the shadow fox ran, he heard stronger running paws behind him. They were coming faster... and faster... and faster, until BAM! The shadow fox leapt back from the hunter, who was now on the ground bleeding, holding his side that had blood on it. "Now to finish you off, human." Snickered the fox. "Rick! No!" Hyacintho almost howled. That's when Valp leapt in front of the Shadow Fox. "Leave him alone!" Valp said, eyes narrowed onto the evil fox. "Why?" snickered the fox. "He tried to hunt you.  Here we were. A day after Hawk had left. Here we were. Fortis, Lupe, Valp, Key, Hyacintho and I... were standing on the battle field. Ice, snow, everywhere.
