Moonrise of the Fox Pg. 7 Cpt. 10

Once Vectis had gotten back to the battle, he watched as Key was thrusted to the ground and his brother sunk his sharp fangs into her leg, nearly snapping it until he himself took a stand.

"Hey! That's enough!" Vectis growled "This is my fight!" He was cold and he was wet but he was still strong and still ready to stand up for his friend.

The shadow fox released his fangs and turned his head to Vectis "Well, well, look who survived." he taunted.

Vectis quickly tossed the stone to Key. The stone slid on the ice until it was in her grasp. She held onto it tightly as if it were a life line, although in Vectis' and herself's direction, it was.

"It's time I make my way home!" Snapped Vectis as he leapt  onto in the direction of the shadow fox who dodged just in time to run up the side of the mountain. Vectis followed him and leapt on him, knocking him to the ground as they both tumbled back down to the plateau area where he had been attacking Key.

The two leapt up into the air and both attacked each other, they both clashed, once they leapt away from one another, each were left with huge cuts on their sides. They both fell a long distance to the ground, Vectis collapsed.

The shadow fox turned to go to Key - who was clutching onto the stone for her life -  but before he could take a step forward, Vectis' fangs were dug into his throat.

"Leave. Her. Alone." Vectis said, teeth clutched together, chest heaving.

The shadow fox just backed away, causing Vectis to let go and lay on the ground.

Key was also laying on the ground as the shadow fox walked up to her "Time to get rid of you-" but by the time he said that, blood rushed from his mouth. He had just threw up a lot of blood from his body.

"The northern lights - the stone - does not protect you . You are evil." Key said, trying to regain her breath.

The shadow fox growled. But that's when the northern lights appeared, the shadow fox turned around and started to walk into the lights "The lights. It's the way home." he laughed to himself as he walked.

Just then, Vectis scattered to his paws, ran at the shadow fox, together with his power and the power of the lights, there was a huge explosion, leaving Vectis laying in his pool of blood alone. The shadow fox was no where to be found - dead.
